BMHCookout ’21 Panelists

Myrlie Marcelin approaches counselling with an anti-oppressive lens that recognizes the place of structural oppression in mental health. She advocates for BIPOC communities whose voices have traditionally been overlooked and demonstrates Black mental health professionals exist and are effecting change.

Mr. Coley is a mental health motivational speaker, the Bell Let’s Talk campaign representative, and most recently spoke on the CBC program “You can’t ask that”. He presently teaches a class called “Yummy Mommies” on maintaining their mental health.

Dr. Ndejuru is a psychotherapist, psychodramatist, and theatre practitioner. She works with survivors of large-scale political violence to create accessible, non-medicalized, scalable strategies for healing and change.
